It seems that every day, researchers are confirming that lifestyle factors – such as proper diet and exercise, weight control and not smoking – can have a powerful impact on preventing problems such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and cancer. With all the processed and fast foods out there, it’s often challenging to eat right and feed a family with good food options so they can get and stay healthy.

Deanna Naylor, vice president of marketing for Fruit of the Spirit, a Plano-based company producing a nutritional drink, said that a book has recently been published gushing about the product. The book is titled “Harmony: Achieving Good Health by Learning the Lesson of Balance from Science and Faith.” Authors Dr. John Young and Dr. Aida Reyes see patients in their own clinical practices who are successfully bringing down their blood pressure, their blood sugar, their cholesterol, reducing weight and reducing risks of other chronic diseases with simple lifestyle changes that include adding Fruit of the Spirit to their daily diets.

“There is good news for those who want to be healthier, and the good news comes in the form of a product called Fruit of the Spirit,” Naylor said. “The name ‘Fruit of the Spirit’ may be familiar to readers who participate in Bible study. The name is taken from Galatians 5:22: ‘But the Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.’”

Fruit of the Spirit is a blend of 13 whole fruits native to the Holy Land combined with alkalizing minerals from the Dead Sea. The company wanted to create a product that would provide the health benefits while also “sharing God’s desire for us to care for our bodies,” Naylor said. “Frankincense and myrrh are usually known for their reference in the Bible, but they are also two of the best natural anti-inflammatory herbs that you can consume.”

Naylor said that the product was designed to provide multiple benefits, including support for:

· Natural energy (Fruit of the Spirit has no caffeine or added sugar)

· Reduced aches and pains

· Healthy blood pressure

· Healthy cholesterol

· Healthy heart

· Immunity boost

When asked about reducing aches and pains, Naylor said that Fruit of the Spirit’s whole-fruit blend is filled with powerful antioxidants that act as natural anti-inflammatories. She also said it is safe for everyone, including children and pregnant mothers-to-be. The company that makes this product formulates it in a pristine aseptic pharmaceutical lab so consumers can be assured of the highest purity and quality in every bottle, she said.

Fans of Christian radio and television have likely heard about Fruit of the Spirit. Janet Mefferd, who has a talk show on the Salem Radio Network, just began discussing the product on her radio show.

The product has been referred to by some medical officials as the “Rolls Royce of nutritional products,” Naylor said.

The company experiences a 98 percent reorder rate “because it works,” Naylor said.
